When I started checking into adopting a donkey T&D was the closest rescue to us. I made contact and immediately heard back from Deanna. She answered questions, offered support and encouraged us to come for a visit. Spending a beautiful three hours at the rescue being snuggled by precious loving donkeys and having extremely helpful and informative discussion with Deanna helped us realize that, with the support of T&D we would be able to successfully adopt. We are looking forward to bringing home two very well adjusted and cared for, rescued donkeys from T&D Donkey Rescue within the next few weeks. This is a wonderful place and we greatly appreciate the efforts of Tom and Deanna on behalf of these sweet donkeys!

I met Deanna a few years back and just fell in Love with her spirit! She is a dedicated animal lover and she has a heart of Gold!! I have now adopted 4 beautiful donkeys from her ... 2 minis and 2 standards and they are such sweet, smart characters! I just love how they love on me when I'm talking to them and brushing on them. Her rescue is amazing! Just take a drive and go see her at T & D donkey rescue!

I have always wanted to have a donkey but am a firm believer in adopting animals who need a home. I was blessed to find Deanna at T&D rescue. She is so compassionate & willing to go the extra mile to help animals in need. She has always been available to answer questions & to pass on her knowledge about caring for donkeys. She puts her heart & soul into her rescue & it shows! My husband & I adopted Wizard NKA Murphy this summer & he has been such a delight to have!! We were well prepared to have him as Deanna had provided us with all of the details of what he had been through, what he could do & what he would need. I highly recommend T&D Rescue!

What Deanna Kafka does is extraordinary! She is an angel in disguise. We have adopted five donkeys from her at T & D and all of them are exactly what I wanted! Healthy , well- adjusted and personality plus ! Love my donkeys!

Great to work with, love their animals and want to be sure they are going to, not only a loving home, but a home that understands the full, appropriate, responsible caring for of a donkey. Unfortunately, love isn't enough, and that is all too often hard for potential adopters to understand. I applaud the T&D family and Board for so conscientiously protecting and placing their charges. They go over and above, and this is proven by the level of vet care they attain and maintain for each animal. The two little donks we now call family are just as described by the T&D crew. Its a wonderful peaceful place.the donkeys are so calm and loving and Deanna does miracles with them from the time they arrive, many untouchable and often with medical problems,to healthy loving donkeys waiting for their permanent forever home. Everyone needs to visit and experience the rescue for themselves and see what you have been missing.God truly knew what he was doing when this rescue was created. We got one of our donkeys, Baxter, from Deana. We have been back several times, just to visit and have gone to her saturday morning Curry Club, to brush and love on these guys. She does wonderful work and tries so hard. Please consider supporting this rescue in some way. If you go, make sure you get to see Manny : )
